The All-Energy Australia Exhibition and Conference has announced its 2018 speaker lineup, with more than 180 industry leaders and innovators to present at the country’s most comprehensive clean and renewable energy event.

Celebrating its 10th year, the conference will attract local and international experts to discuss the latest trends, business models and technology innovations across topics including large-scale solar energy, energy storage, grid integration, security and reliability, energy efficiency, electric vehicles and bioenergy.

All-Energy Australia Exhibition and Conference will be opened by the Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio, Victorian Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change. Following the opening, the conference agenda will include a series of presentations, panel discussions, case studies and interactive workshops across two days.

With 2018 considered the year of the ‘solar energy boom’*, the founder of Smart Commercial Solar and industry pioneer Huon Hoogesteger will share his insights on solar projects and why we are seeing an emergence of large-scale solar farms in Australia and around the world.

BlueIoT founder and chief innovation officer, Bob Sharon, will explore the consequences of cyber security attacks on smart grid systems, and how the industry must improve existing techniques and systems to manage these threats and risks. Mr Sharon will evaluate existing networks with a case study of a recent system hack in Melbourne.

DP Energy business development manager, Catherine Way, will chair a five-member panel about game changers shaping the energy industry and how an evolving grid is bringing positive disruption to our energy climate. The panel will feature Huon Hoogesteger, Power Ledger sales executive Matthew Grantham, Energy Transition Hub manager Cienna Turpie, Zen Ecosystems chief financial officer Michael Joffe and Delta Electronics general manager Herman Chang.

All-Energy Australia exhibition director, Robby Clark, said that 2018’s event will set the stage for thought-provoking discussions and commentary about the country’s current energy climate, as well as emerging technologies, innovations and trends in the sector such as blockchain and cyber security.

“With so many leaders and innovators set to attend the All-Energy Australia Exhibition and Conference, this is a great opportunity for the industry to explore new business models and innovations which are shaping the industry, and the policy and security challenges they present,” Mr Clark said.

“This exchange of knowledge will be invaluable and provides the industry with the confidence and creativity to build the smart, safe and reliable grid of the future.”

Designers and installers attending the All-Energy Australia Exhibition and Conference will have a unique opportunity to hear from interdisciplinary experts on the major design and installation issues  currently facing the energy industry, at the 2018 Solar Masterclass Series which will run alongside the main conference.

The ‘Grand Networking Event’ will also give industry professionals a chance to celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary, and recognise innovative approaches and solutions by suppliers at the 2018 Solar Design and Installation Awards.

Held in partnership with the Clean Energy Council, All-Energy Australia is co-located with Waste Expo Australia to form the nation’s most significant showcase for the waste, recycling, renewable energy and energy efficiency industries.

All-Energy Australia Exhibition and Conference will run from 3-4 October 2018 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. To register for the free-to-attend exhibition, or to access the 2018 conference program, visit www.all-energy.com.au.
