Horizon Power’s new Chief Executive Officer has officially commenced her position.
Stephanie Unwin said she is excited to be joining Horizon Power and leading the business into the future, as it continues to focus on its primary objectives of reducing costs and improving reliability of electricity to customers in regional and remote Western Australia.
“I’m delighted to join Horizon Power in what is a very exciting and transformational time for the energy sector, particularly in Western Australia,” Stephanie said.
“Australia’s energy industry is now confronting the most transformational period of change since its inception. These changes present a unique opportunity for Horizon Power and I am confident we can successfully meet the changing needs of our customers.”
Horizon Power Chairman Stephen Edwell said he is pleased to welcome Stephanie to the business.
“I look forward to working closely with Stephanie as we continue to provide our customers with a safe and reliable power supply at the lowest possible cost,” Mr Edwell said.
Stephanie brings a wealth of experience to the position along with a deep understanding of the energy sector.
Before joining Horizon Power, Stephanie was General Manager Transformation and Technology at the CBH Group, and on the Board of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).
Stephanie also acknowledged Mike Houlahan for his leadership over the past nine months in his role as Acting CEO.
