Can you tell me how to convert litres of LPG to kWh?
thanks

Comment on Intergenerational report: Renewables are the cheapest form of energy in Australia by Allan https://www.energymagazine.com.au/intergenerational-report-renewables-are-the-cheapest-form-of-energy-in-australia/#comment-5039 Sat, 09 Sep 2023 12:15:58 +0000 https://www.energymagazine.com.au/?p=43003#comment-5039 What a load of biased ill-informed CRAP – firstly, who in their right mind would believe ANYTHING that comes out of the mouth of Labor and it’s treasurer who is part of Labor’s ‘renewables cult of misinformation and exaggerated benefits’ ?
FACT is more than ever electricity prices have gone through-the-roof thanks to the expense of building needed renewables infrastructures tapping into other state’s systems to resemble some sort of ‘reliability’, those overall infrastructures will also need ongoing maintenance/replacement of installed ageing solar panels/wind turbines that will NOT reduce power bills, but sustain them at a higher than normal level – insult to injury there is NO way renewables alone can sustain a reliable and capable replacement energy alternative, especially base load power – LOOK at overseas countries who have gone back to fossil fueled power sources/’borrowing’ power from adjacent nuclear sourced countries to help them get over the crippling incompetence of their renewables, NO country of any average size/population/productivity has EVER successfully and reliably 100% transitioned to renewables.

Comment on Taking biomethane from pipe dream to pipeline by Eric C Amato https://www.energymagazine.com.au/taking-biomethane-from-pipe-dream-to-pipeline/#comment-5027 Tue, 05 Sep 2023 04:22:54 +0000 https://www.energymagazine.com.au/?p=42699#comment-5027 Having just returned from Germany these plants are all over the south. Our family informed me that they are powered by local-grown corn, and or sunflower plants and are used in conjunction with waste from cattle. The energy generated is provided to the local towns (both gas and electricity) with any surplus being fed back into the grid.

Comment on Embedding microgrid protection in a single device with IPD by Adam https://www.energymagazine.com.au/embedding-microgrid-protection-in-a-single-device-with-ipd/#comment-4972 Mon, 14 Aug 2023 12:54:26 +0000 https://www.energymagazine.com.au/?p=39409#comment-4972 This is an incredible leap forward in microgrid technology! The concept of embedding microgrid protection in a single device with Integrated Protection and Distribution (IPD) is a game-changer. It’s a brilliant convergence of innovation and practicality, streamlining complex protection systems into a more accessible and efficient solution. This advancement not only simplifies the implementation of microgrids but also promises enhanced reliability and security. Kudos to the minds behind this ingenious idea for pushing the boundaries and paving the way for smarter, more resilient energy solutions.

I’m a plumber which uses these gases for tracing & testing. It would be much easier to see the gas leaking that trying to use a gas sniffer.

Do you have any product which does this?

Thanks, Jay

Comment on CEC responds to wind farm planning environmental conditions by Hamish Cumming https://www.energymagazine.com.au/cec-responds-to-wind-farm-planning-environmental-conditions/#comment-4951 Tue, 08 Aug 2023 01:56:22 +0000 https://www.energymagazine.com.au/?p=42778#comment-4951 The CEC has shown their colours. They don’t care about the endangered species. The existing guideline buffers for Brolga nests is 3.2km, so why did the Willatook wind farm try to get it reduced to 800m, then winge and complain that the government made them have at least 2km. The Gov should have enforced the 3.2km current guideline or even expand it to the 5km that GPS tracking and post completion reports show is necessary. If the wind industry cared about the environment and endangered species, then they would not be applying for permits in Brolga home ranges. Don’t complain that you cant have what you were never entitled to.The only reqason they try to build there is because of the 500kv powerline that is there. The wind resource is not good, with Macarthur and Dundonnell only getting low 20% capacity factor. Their permits were issued on the promise of 43%, which was never going to happen.
